IKIGIAN vol 1
Anna Kristin is a performance artist and a young mother of two. π¨βπ©βπ¦βπ¦ She has three hardcovered clear sheeted IKIGI notebooks, but she’s sure there should be a forth one somewhere.. could be that it was left to Australia couple of years ago, who knows. π¦
The main reason why Anna Kristin has chosen in the favor of IKIGI notebooks is because of the clear sheets that give the opportunity to write where ever it is needed at the moment. π The opening of the binding she calls a big bonus. Being a mother of two boys often the self-time is interrupted and at least when you can finally get back to your stuff then the notebook is open widely on the correct spot. Especially good is the fact that the pages just don’t fall out.
Anna Kristin begins filling her notebooks by writing her name, current year and month. After that it is often and sometimes filled it with:
πͺ motivating phrases
π§ plans and brainstorms of projects and shows
βοΈ general agenda and sort of to do lists
π retrospecting about the year that has past and what was learn during each month
π flashes and descriptions of days – could sometimes even turn into more of a diary
π shopping list (sometimes you could see her at a store riding around with IKIGI notebook open on the child’s seat, but other times writing things down can also help remembering them)
π drawings made during phone calls
πΆ poems and lyrics
π¨ illustrations made by her children
Filling a notebook with things like that takes about 3-6 months but usually, even if the notebook isn’t filled yet, after 5 months there will be a craving for a new one! π
In the ideal world she would have a separate notebook for each subject but to make a summary she calls them EVERYTHING NOTEBOOKS, that contain things from everyday shopping lists up to the deepest thoughts. β¨
